Ti studied Theatre Design at the Slade School of Art, and English Literature at Cambridge University.
Ti has designed for the National Theatre, the Royal Shakespeare Company and major producing venues across the UK including the Barbican, Shakespeare’s Globe, Bristol Old Vic, Birmingham Rep, Manchester Royal Exchange, Liverpool Everyman, Sheffield Crucible and Edinburgh Lyceum. She has recently taken work into the West End in co-production with Sonia Friedman and Fiery Angel, and has worked internationally in New York, Tokyo and Shanghai.
In 2007 Ti was nominated for two Tony awards and an Outer Critics Circle Award for her designs for the Broadway transfer of Coram Boy, which she originated at the National Theatre in 2005.
She won the Manchester Evening News Theatre Award for Best Design in 2015, for HOME’s site-specific production of Romeo and Juliet at the Manchester Victoria Baths. She was also shortlisted for a UK Theatre Award for Touching the Void (Bristol Old Vic
